A bat built specifically for you
Every Tater® custom bat is turned, finished, and engraved by hand in our Connecticut shop, using the same process as our pro player bats.
The Tater® I13 Pro is designed around one goal: putting more mass where it counts. The large 243-inspired barrel and sharp taper push weight forward into a true end load. That creates the whip and exit velocity that power hitters need. More barrel, more force, more damage.
The 15/16" handle and flared knob keep the grip secure and comfortable through hard contact. Hitters can focus on driving the ball without thinking about the bat.
The I13 is a hybrid turn model that improves on the standard 243 wood bat. It combines the flared knob and medium handle of the 271 with the larger barrel of the 243. The aggressive taper sits between the two. The result is a bat that feels familiar to hitters who've swung either standard model. It delivers more barrel mass than either alone. If you've gravitated toward a 243 for power but found the knob uncomfortable, the I13 is the build to try.
The I13 is a power hitter wood bat. It's built for middle-of-the-order hitters who want maximum barrel mass without losing all bat speed. It rewards hitters who can drive the head of the bat through the zone. Strong hand-speed and a confident swing path are what unlock it. If you're a contact hitter who lives gap-to-gap, check out our Tater-X12 PRO instead — that's the contact-hitter model.
Tater Baseball® hand-builds wood bats for pro, college, and amateur hitters. The I13 Pro carries the same craft standard as every Tater pro-grade bat. Customize length, drop, wood species, and finish in our Custom Wood Bat Builder. New to wood? Start with the Wood Bat Size Chart and the Maple vs. Birch Guide. Not sure which model fits your swing? Tater® vs. other brands
Most wood bats are made for retail shelves — lower-grade lumber, bulk machining, inconsistent pop. The Tater® Wood Bat is hand-split, hand-finished, and bone-rubbed to MLB standards.
