A bat built specifically for you
Every Tater® custom bat is turned, finished, and engraved by hand in our Connecticut shop, using the same process as our pro player bats.
- Free engraving Your name, number, and colors, included on every custom order.
- Pro wood Hand-selected, ink dot certified maple or birch.
- High-gloss finish Proprietary coating on every bat for maximum hardness.
- Hand-split & boned Split with the grain for strength, then bone-rubbed to compress the surface.
The Tater® RA13 Pro is the original RA13 turn model, the same profile Ronald Acuña Jr. swings. It has a thin handle, a long, full barrel, and enough mass out front to punish mistakes. Custom-built in maple or birch, 31 to 34". Hand-built in the USA.
The RA13 Pro — built to drive the ball
The RA13 is one of the most popular turn models in pro ball, and for good reason. A thin handle keeps the hands quick. A long, full barrel gives hitters a big sweet spot and real carry when they square it up. This is the straight RA13 profile with no modifications. If you want the same silhouette with the weight pulled back toward the hands, look at the Tater X4 Pro.
Who the RA13 Pro is for
Hitters who generate their own bat speed and want a little extra mass in the barrel to drive the ball. It suits middle-of-the-order bats who like to feel the barrel through the zone. Contact hitters who want a lighter swing should start with the X4 Pro.
Maple or birch?
Maple gives the hardest hitting surface and the loudest pop off the barrel. Birch flexes a touch more and is more forgiving on mis-hits, which many high school and college hitters prefer. The RA13 profile stays the same either way. Read more in our Maple vs Birch vs Ash guide.

Tater® vs. other brands
There's a reason pros are switching to swing Tater®
Most wood bats are made for retail shelves — lower-grade lumber, bulk machining, inconsistent pop. The Tater® Wood Bat is hand-split, hand-finished, and bone-rubbed to MLB standards.
- Higher density wood lasts longer and provides better “pop” off the barrel.
- Ink dot tested to prove our bats meet professional standards.
- Hand-split wood follows the natural grain, making bats stronger, more durable, and less likely to break.
- Bone rubbing compresses the wood fibers, making the bat harder, improving durability, and increasing ball exit speeds.
